Objective Promoting Architectural Collaboration, Research, and Regional Development Across South Asia
  • The main objective is to bring the National Institutes of Architects of the South Asia Region to a single platform on a democratic basis to foster friendly, intellectual, artistic, educational, and scientific ties among them and thereby among the architects of members of the Institutes;
  • Foster a better understanding of the shared architectural heritage and traditions in the region by encouraging research and promoting documentation efforts;
  • Develop and foster professional contacts, mutual co-operation and assistance among member institutes;
  • Establish, develop, and foster relations with regional, and international architectural organizations to represent architects of the member institutes at international levels;
  • Promote and work jointly for the recognition of the architects' role in society;
  • Promote research and technical advancement in the field of the built environment;
  • Provide a forum for discourse on topics of common interest among the member institutes and other related organization;
  • Establish, develop, and foster relations with regional, international, and government agencies for the benefit of AASA;
  • Facilitate publication of matters that promote architectural knowledge related to its theory, law, and practice;

The Architects Association of South Asia (AASA) is dedicated to uniting national architectural institutes, youths and professionals across South Asia on a democratic and independant platform. Its mission is to foster collaboration, promote research, encourage exchange and mentorship, and represent South Asian architects collectively in regional and global forums. AASA strives to strengthen the role of architects in society by integrating traditional wisdom with modern innovation, ensuring resilience, inclusivity and ethical practice in the built environment.
